WE ARE RAISING $20,000 TO TRAIN THE LEAGUE OF MEDIATORS IN UKRAINE (LIMU), AN NGO IN KYIV, IN SPRING OF 2025
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, LIMU has been providing mediation services free of charge to Ukrainian families facing profound changes in their lives and relationships due to the war: forced displacement within the country, emigration due to hostilities, uncertainty, long-lasting periods of separation, especially when one of the family members is in the area of active hostilities.
Co-founder Tatyana Bilyk has attended SCPI training in Europe and wants to bring the understanding-based approach to mediators and people in conflict in Ukraine. The cost to conduct this training will be $20,000 – $12,000 for training staff and $8,000 for live interpretation services throughout the full program.
This year, rather than raising funds for operational support, we are appealing to our community for help raising the funds necessary to conduct our fundamental 40-hour training program for LIMU’s mediation team. Can you help us respond to this request?
LEARN MORE ABOUT OUR MISSION AND FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY
LIMU has asked the Center for Understanding in Conflict to conduct an online 40-hour conflict resolution and mediation training for 35 family mediators with many years of practical experience who conduct family mediation for free in Ukraine. Their organization is an essential resource for families seeking recovery and harmony despite the ongoing challenges posed by the war. In these circumstances, when family conflicts may escalate due to stress and uncertainty, mediation becomes a vital tool for finding mutually acceptable options for conflict resolution, considering the needs of all family members and the children’s best interests.
