Catherine Conner

Catherine ConnerCatherine has been a leader in Collaborative Practice. She was on the founding board of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals in 1999, rejoined the board from 2008-2014, and is a Past President.  She was the chair of numerous IACP committees including the Trainers’ Network and Development Committee, the Access to Collaboration Task Force, the Forum program committee, the Governance Committee, the Practice Group Development Committee, and the Training Task Force.  She was the founding chair of the Sonoma County Bar Association’s Collaborative Law Section and the first President of the Collaborative Council of the Redwood Empire, an interdisciplinary collaborative practice group in multi practice areas.  In 2006, she started the Collaborative Practice Center in Santa Rosa with other collaborative professionals.

Catherine Conner’s private practice focuses on family law alternate dispute resolution, including mediation, collaborative practice and private judging.  She graduated from University of California, Boalt Hall in 1982.  She is a founding partner of Conner, Lawrence, Rodney, Olhiser & Barrett, LLP, established in 1983.  In 1992, she became a Certified Family Law Specialist.  She was honored as the recipient of the Rex Sater Award for Excellence in Family Law in 2003.  She has been designated a Northern California Super Lawyer since 2005 and one of the Best Lawyers in America since 2006.  In 2012 and 2016, she was designated as the Santa Rosa Family Lawyer of the year by Best Lawyers in America.
