SUMMARY:Real Talk: Intentional Conversations Between the Races
DESCRIPTION:Real Talk 4 Hour Online Workshop\nJune 12 and June 19\n9:00 – 11:00 am Pacific Time\n12:00 – 2:00 PM Eastern Time\n6:00 – 8:00 PM Central European Time\nHow do you move beyond the feeling of being “stuck” when it comes to talking about race? What does a person need in order to feel seen or understood? How do we both invite and keep people in their seat at the table?  This online workshop is an opportunity to start doing just that. \nWe’ve spent over 2 years in conversation together about how to create safe\, effective spaces to have dialogue about race and build relationships in the process. Come join us in reflective activities\, really hard conversations\, and the shared drive to get to the other side of being uncomfortable with what we don’t know. \nYou will:\n-have less fear when it comes to engaging in dialogue about race\n-have a deeper understanding of White Supremacy and your participation in it\n-create genuine connections with people you never thought you’d be able to talk to about race \nThis online workshop will combine presentations\, teacher demonstrations\, small and large group discussions\, self-reflection\, and role plays of real life simulations.
